Mike, Zoey and I got to go to Virginia for a week and we had a great time. Zoey did pretty well on her flights minus 2 exhaustion screaming episodes. One on the way there and one on the way back. The second one was far worse than the first. All in all she did pretty well.
I had no idea there was so much to see there. It was really fun. My favorite place should have been some historical monument, but instead it was a huge market full of everything delicious. Needless to say I left with a lot of candy! Mike even got some Amish guy to make him a pastrami, egg and cheese sandwich (something not on his menu), by pouting until he would make it anyway. The guy told him if he got some pastrami from the butcher next door he would do it. So Mike of corse ran to the butcher to get pastrami. This sort of behavior is what makes me less excited to cook for him. He wants what he wants. (All in good fun Mike :) ).

We spent another day around Manassas when we returned from Pennsylvania and visited Mikes grandma
and went to the Air and Space museum.
The next two days we spent some time celebrating my brothers graduation from Howard Dental school! I am so proud of him!

Side note: Most ridiculous picture ever taken!

We went to a delicious dinner spot afterwards

and spent the next day at Mount Vernon, which was really amazing to see.

I was happy to have a week of vacation and to spend time with family! I am looking forward to our new little adventure of a second child in the near future.

how fun! we are taking a road trip to VA/DC/PA/NY. let me know what some of your favorite sites were. i think we might do the air and space museum (the one near the airport, right?). and i am very interested in that market. anything with food interests me.
for the record, there was no pouting with my Pastrami Egg and Cheese, just casual discussion in which the offer to make the sandwich was extended. it was win-win, i got my delicious sandwich and they got a potential new menu item :)
Looks like a blast... especially to be around all your siblings!
What you think is a rediculous picture, just totally made my day. I love seeing all of you cuties doing something cheesy. You look so lovely, and I am glad you had fun!
